**VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM THE CHURCH LEADERSHIP

REGARDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)**

**UPDATED FORMAL ADVICE TO ALL CONGREGATIONS FROM ASSEMBLY BUILDINGS**

– Until further notice, all congregational organisations and activities should cease until further notice

– Until further notice, all Sunday gatherings for worship should also cease until further notice

– Until further notice, steps should be taken to ensure that numbers attending funeral services and weddings are kept as low as possible

Be assured, we will be thinking of creative ways of ensuring that we can still ‘join together’ in worship using the technology that we have available. Whilst visitation will be for absolute emergencies only, we will also creatively ensure that ongoing pastoral care is in place.

I’ve just read this: “The opposite of being ‘frightened and dismayed’ is to be ‘strong and courageous’.” God is our refuge and our strength, our ever-present help in times of need. Let’s pray this over one another as we go forward into the unchartered waters that spread out before us. As one lady in church reminded me yesterday – Jesus is ‘in the boat’ in the storms of life.

Grace & Peace,

Stuart
