You only have to look at the Amazon bestsellers list and you will see that autobiographies are big business.  That's because people want to find out about their favourite sports stars, singers, politicians and celebrities.  The best way to discover what someone is really like is to hear what they have to say for themselves.  The same applies when it comes to discovering the truth about Jesus Christ. He continues to be a figure who fascinates, divides, and inspires.  

We can begin to discover his identity by listening to what he had to say about himself.  In John's Gospel (a biography of Jesus' life), John records the seven 'I ams' of Jesus - the seven important things that Jesus tells us about himself.  Each of these 'I ams' helps us to see that Jesus is more than just an inspirational figure; that he in fact is someone who we should commit our life to, because he gave his life for us.
